11 weeks and still growing strong!

Hey all! Just wanted to let you know that we had another ultrasound on Monday and our little bean is looking good! Measuring right on track with a heartbeat at 167. Yay! The other twin's sack also shrank a lot, which is good. It appears that I will just be reabsorbing that twin as I still haven't had any type of bleeding. We go for yet another ultrasound next Thursday to do the NT scan. It is nice to see our baby so often!

I have had a little reprieve from nausea and fatigue. Today is the first day in weeks when I didn't take a nap. The end is in sight! I am praying that all queasiness will be gone by the end of the week. I will be 12 weeks on Friday and was through with nausea by then with Keller. Here's to hoping! : )

Another milestone : )

I got the call yesterday to let me know that I could stop taking all of my meds!!!  YAY!  Last week RN Katie told me to cut the Progesterone and Estrace in half and gave me more orders for bloodwork in a week.  I decided to go back to my local fertility clinic with those orders yesterday because they can get the labs done STAT and I had high hopes for good news that I could stop completely.  Otherwise, I would have had to wait until next week to get my labs back at my OB.  It was well worth the additional money spent when I got RN Katie's phone call!

I hadn't posted earlier about it, but my general shot areas broke out a couple of weeks ago and we thought it was due to the accumulation of the oil that is used to put the progesterone in.  So, we asked RN Katie to send in a new prescription for progesterone in a different oil.  After that was done, Jeff started noticing that my red welts were in circular patterns.  It turned out the my bandaids were the culprit!  So, we stopped using bandaids.  That was probably 2 weeks ago and my rear end, while looking better, STILL has red welts!  I am so very happy to be able to let the area finally heal completely : )

I am 11 weeks today and already have a little pooch.  Much earlier than my last pregnancy.  I am thinking it is due to having started out with twins and having 2 sacs that were still the same size even after Baby B passed.  We have another ultrasound on Monday to make sure that Baby B's sac is beginning to reabsorb and get smaller.

Looking forward to the beginning of warm weather in Atlanta today!  I am gonna need some spring/summer maternity wear!  Can't wait!

9 week u/s

We just had our 9 week ultrasound and, as we expected, we lost Baby B : (  Baby B was only measuring 5w5d, so I am thinking that it didn't grow much, if any, past our last u/s 2 weeks ago.  The fabulous news is that Baby A is looking amazing!!  Measuring right on track with a very strong heartbeat (but, I totally forgot to ask what it was!  Another indication that this is my second pregnancy.  Ha!).  Our midwife told us that we will keep doing u/s every 2 weeks until Baby B's sac is reabsorbed just to make sure that everything is going ok with Baby A still.  From everything I have read, it sounds like losing a twin this early doesn't have a huge effect on the other thriving twin.  So, I am praying that our little bean just keeps on growing!!  It all still feels a bit surreal that I am pregnant again. : )

I have been having a much harder time with nausea this time around.  Every afternoon/evening is hard for me.  I haven't vomited, but sometimes I wish that I just would!  I am looking forward to the second trimester.

A couple of pictures... the first is both babies side by side.  The second is Baby A.
